These pages contain the various badges that can be found around the world from Birdlife charities. RSPB being the leading producer of badges, several designs have been shared with other organisations to place on their own backing cards. For these organisations I have uploaded just a few examples.

Latvia – Latvian Ornithological Society (LOB)

The Latvian Ornithological Society (Latvijas Ornitologijas biedriba – LOB) is the largest non-governmental nature conservation organisation in Latvia that works on bird and habitat protection in order to maintain the numbers, diversity and geographic distribution of important sites, species and habitats in Latvia.

Japan - Wild Bird Society of Japan (WBSJ)

Wild Bird Society of Japan is a private organisation founded in 1934 which has over 45000 members and 90 chapters throughout Japan. Its purpose is to protect birds and their habitat, to encourage more people to enjoy bird watching, and to carry on research concerning the status and habitat of birds.

Along with silver bird brooches the WBSJ release a new species pin every year to raise funds. This is their Birdmate donation program.

Kenya - Nature Kenya

Nature Kenya, also known as the East Africa Natural History Society (EANHS), is Africa's oldest environmental Society. They were established in 1909 to promote the study and conservation of nature in eastern Africa. There main aim is to connect nature and people for a sustainable future.

Malawi - Wildlife and Environmental Society of Malawi (WESM)

The Wildlife and Environmental Society of Malawi (WESM) was founded in 1947 as the Nyasaland Fauna Preservation Society in Blantyre. WESM has been dedicated to protecting Malawi’s remarkable diversity of animals and habitats for nearly 70 years. They consist of nine branches throughout Malawi, and a national Secretariat. Each is Branch self-governing and holds its own events and projects.

Malaysia - Malaysian Nature Society (MNS)

As the oldest and largest leading environmental non-governmental organization in Malaysia, MNS is committed to ensuring our rich biological diversity is effectively managed and protected. The society predates the country’s independence. A group of British expatriates interested in the natural heritage decided that the abundant collection of field notes should be published. In 1940, with the publication of the Malayan Nature Journal Volume 1, the Malaysian Nature Society was born.

Nepal - Bird Conservation Nepal (BCN)

Established in 1982, Bird Conservation Nepal (BCN) is the leading organisation in Nepal, focusing on the conservation of birds, their habitats and sites. It seeks to promote interest in birds amongst the general public, encourage research on birds and identify major threats to birds' continued survival.

Netherlands - Society for the Protection of Birds / Vogelbescherming Nederland (VBN)

'Together for Birds and People' Vogelbescherming Nederland is the Dutch Partner of BirdLife International. A non-governmental conservation organisation that seeks to conserve all wild bird species as well as the priority sites and habitats on which they depend.

The Nigerian Conservation Foundation is an environmental non-governmental organization which works to preserve the natural resources and biodiversity of Nigeria. The Foundation was founded in 1980 by Shafi Edu.

Poland – Polish Society for the Protection of Birds (OTOP)

The Polish Society for the Protection of Birds (OTOP), founded in 1991, works to protect wild birds and areas where they live. They actively monitor species, manage conservation areas, shape policies that have impact on the environment, and educate the public.

Portugal - Portuguese Society for the Study of Birds (SPEA)

The Portuguese Society for the Study of Birds (SPEA) is a nonprofit scientific association that promotes the study and conservation of birds in Portugal. It was founded in 1993 and they work towards the study and the conservation of wild birds and their habitats by promoting sustainable development for the benefit of the future generations.

Romania – Romanian Ornithological Society (SOR)

SOR is a non-profit Romanian NGO that protects birds and nature with the support of members, volunteers, donations and project based funding. The organisation has established itself as a key stakeholder for species preservation around the Danube Delta.

Slovakia - Slovak Ornithological Society (SOS)/BirdLife Slovensko

Slovak Ornithological Society/BirdLife Slovakia is the main bird conservation charity in Slovakia. SOS/BirdLife Slovakia is a direct descendent of the Czechoslovak Society for Ornithology which was founded in 1926.

Spain - Sociedad Española de Ornitología (SEO)

The Spanish Ornithological Society is Spain’s main bird conservation charity. It was founded in 1954 and has 8,000 members and 50 staff. It is Spain’s representative in the BirdLife International partnership.

Syria - Syrian Society for Conservation of Wildlife (SSCW)

Syrian - Serin

SSCW operates within the Syrian Arab Republic and in cooperation with the national authorities to ensure the protection of all biodiversity components including animals and plants. It aims at the rehabilitation of all endangered species regardless of the level of threat.

Thailand - Bird Conservation Society of Thailand (BCST)

The Bird Conservation Society of Thailand (BCST) is a national organisation comprised of individuals and groups who work for the conservation of birds and nature throughout the Kingdom. BCST carries out this task through surveys, education and advocacy. It works in partnership with, and advises, Thai Government.
