The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) is an international non-governmental organisation, founded in 1961, working for nature preservation and the reduction of humanity's footprint on the environment.

The WWF-UK seeks to promote and raise awareness around the key environmental issues that faces our planet today. Together with the WWF Network, it looks for solutions to these issues, engaging with governments, businesses and communities both in the UK and around the world.

WWF Membership - Amazing Planet

Amazing Planet is a subscription service designed to give an incredible round-the-world adventure. Monthly through the letterbox will be a pack full of facts, features and fun stuff about what makes Planet Earth so special. This works alongside the Amazing Planet app. The pack and app work together via augmented reality. Amazing Planet is aimed at children aged 7-11, but can be enjoyed by any age.

WWF Project - #JustLikeUs

With the growing trend of marketing campaigns associated with film-quality Christmas TV advertisements WWF released the #JustLikeUs ad for 2017. The idea was to inform people that elphants like humans suffer and feel complex emotions when a family member dies, or in the elephants case poached.

WWF UK constantly updates their online shop with new items from clothing to umbrellas. Badges are usually for projects or campaigns (see below) but they do have a few just to raise general funds.

WWF Project - Earth Hour

Earth Hour is a worldwide movement organized by the WWF. The event is held annually encouraging individuals, communities, households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights.

WWF Project - Wear It Wild

Wear It Wild is a fundraising event similar to Earth Hour in which the public were asked to host a wildlife fancy dress at their school, workplace or home. This year the event will run on the 20th October 2017.

WWF & Hull City Tigers

WWF Tiger Protectors project is working to double the number of wild tigers by 2020. Hull City Tigers have partnered with WWF to raise awareness and funds for this worthy project.

WWF Volunteers - Recognition Badges

These 12 badges are not commercially available but given to volunteers and fundraisers as signs of achievement for their work. Examples are 'Carer' for someone engaged actively in the switch to Eco choices or 'Battler' for fundraisers who run WWF stalls in adverse weather conditions.

WWF Fundraising Badges 

Again these are not available to purchase but given to those who raise substantial amounts of vital funds for the charity. These pins are rare just 50 to 20 of each has been produced.

WWF International - Vanishing Species Series

The vanishing species series seems to be a worldwide badge set, originating in the early 90's. 4 designs below seem to be the more common in the UK than the rest. Other designs can be found on the WWF international page.
