The wildlife trusts consists of 46 individual charities covering the whole of the UK. Each trust has their own marketing and can produce their own badges if they choose. Some trusts have produced sets with others just having their logo.

Wildlife trusts also have nationwide or shared projects, such as Magnificent Meadows, which sometimes have badges associated to them as well as events like Birdfair.

Alderney Wildlife Trust

The Alderney Wildlife Trust (AWT) came into existence as the newest member of The Wildlife Trusts in May 2002 and only the second member not to be situated within the UK. They are only wildlife organisation working to preserve Alderney's stunning natural heritage and sustain it for future generations.

The Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire & Northamptonshire

The Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire & Northamptonshire care for the wildlife and countryside in their three counties. They manage over 100 nature reserves, 9 Living Landscapes and are supported by over 36,000 members.

Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust

The Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire (BBOWT) currently has about 54,000 members and 1,400 active volunteers. They have 88 nature reserves spanning more than 2,500 hectares.

Cumbria Wildlife Trust

With over 40 nature reserves across Cumbria and the Lake District, Cumbria WT are the largest organisation in the area. These reserves cover a wide range of habitats which support important species.

Derbyshire Wildlife Trust

They manage 43 nature reserves and work to promote and care for the natural environment and raise awareness of wildlife issues across Derbyshire and beyond.

Dorset Wildlife Trust

Dorset Wildlife Trust is the largest conservation charity in Dorset with over 25,000 members. They are committed to ensuring that there is a secure future for Dorset’s nature and its distinctive wildlife.

Durham Wildlife Trust

Durham WT manages nature reserves, delivers conservation projects to protect Durham’s wildlife and provides education and volunteering opportunities for thousands of people every year. Two limited edition pins produced for their 'Pony Appeal', to bring a herd of Exmoor ponies to Durham and a Low Barns Appeal pin badge. Gold logo only available for 10 year members.

Essex Wildlife Trust

Essex WT has the largest set, currently over 40 designs with backing cards. These are found in donation boxes at reserve visitor centres but not currently available online.

Herefordshire Wildlife Trust

The Trust covers the county of Herefordshire and works closely with neighbouring Wildlife Trusts in England and Wales. The Trust is supported by over 3000 local members and manages 54 nature reserves.

Kent Wildlife Trust

Founded in 1958, Kent Wildlife Trust is the leading conservation organisation covering the whole of Kent and Medway, dedicated to protecting wildlife and wild habitats for everyone. They currently have 61 nature reserves.

Lancashire Wildlife Trust

The Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Manchester and North Merseyside is a local wildlife charity, working to protect wildlife and nature for the future in the area. They manage 50 nature reserves for the benefit of nature.

LRWT main aim is to protect and enhance the wildlife and wild places of Leicestershire and Rutland and to engage people with nature. They have an osprey series and logo pin.

Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust

Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust is one of the oldest trusts, having been founded in 1948. The Trust covers the whole of the historic county of Lincolnshire - from the Humber to the Wash. They celebrated their 60th anniversary in 2009.

Manx Wildlife Trust is the leading nature conservation charity in the Isle of Man, caring for land, sea and fresh water environments.

Norfolk Wildlife Trust

Norfolk Wildlife Trust is the oldest Wildlife Trust in the country. The purchase of 400 acres of marsh at Cley on the north Norfolk coast in 1926 provided a blueprint for nature conservation which has now been replicated across the UK.

North Wales Wildlife Trust

They are the only local organisation dedicated to conserving all habitats and species across North Wales for the enjoyment of people and the benefit of wildlife. Founded in 1963 they now have over 4,000 members and 35 nature reserves.

Somerset Wildlife Trust

Somerset Wildlife Trust (formally Somerset Trust for Nature Conservation) manages 1700 acres of nature reserves from the support of 18,000 members.

Staffordshire Wildlife Trust

Founded in 1969, Staffordshire Wildlife Trust is the county's leading nature conservation charity. We have around 50 members of staff, who are guided by a board of trustees. They have 27 nature reserves covering over 3,500 acres.

Suffolk Wildlife Trust

Suffolk Wildlife Trust (SWT) is the only organisation dedicated wholly to safeguarding Suffolk's wildlife and countryside. They manage 60 reserves, 9 of them are Ramsar internationally important wetland sites and 31 are Sites of Special Scientific Interest.

Surrey Wildlife Trust

Surrey Wildlife Trust manage almost 8000 hectares of land in Surrey (5% of the county) with wildlife in mind and for the enjoyment of local people.

Ulster Wildlife

Northern Ireland's largest conservation charity, Ulster Wildlife (formerly called Ulster Wildlife Trust) has been a champion of the local environment for over 30 years. Ulster Wildlife has over 12,000 members.

Wildlife Trusts Wales

Wildlife Trusts Wales believe passionately that wildlife and natural processes need to have space to thrive, beyond designated nature reserves and other protected sites. The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales

WTSWW covers Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and the old County of Glamorgan, this includes half of Wales's coastline. With almost 90 nature reserves they manage a vast range of habitats, supporting countless species.

You can get your puffin badge by adopting a puffin. The money raised will help their work on Skomer and Skokholm Islands.

They care for over 97 nature reserves in Yorkshire including iconic sites such as Spurn National Nature Reserve, Staveley Nature Reserve, Potteric Carr and Flamborough Cliffs.
